Isn’t it a little frustrating and distressing when you have a very important file that you need to save in to your laptop memory, then all of a sudden, while downloading the file in to your system, a pop up screen would show up and nag you that your memory is full, and you need to delete some files, but to more of your disappointment, you cannot afford to delete all of your other files.

That actually happened to me one time when one of my associates sent me a software that I really needed to help me do my work easier, but at that moment, my laptop memory failed me and I ended up waiting for a few more days so I could install it in my computer. Good thing though that my friend told me that I can actually look for some memory suppliers over the net and just contact them and they will be the ones to take care of the rest. And the good thing about it is that it was so convenient, I didn’t have to exert much effort on it. All I had to do was to wait for them to come and I was able to get the extra memory in just a couple of days, plus of course the software that I was trying to install. I guess it’s just a matter of knowing what to look for and where to look for it.

I always travel with my laptop I cannot leave home without it. It would be a total disaster if I don’t have one. I purchased a Durabook S15ST2 Laptop when I was on a business trip in China I loss my other laptop when I was at the metro I was hesitant in purchasing one but the situation really calls me to have one on my stay. So off I go with a Chinese colleague and introduced me to this fine piece of equipment, it is actually (as one may say) “love at first sight”.

I was astonished with the device slick look it has a magnesium alloy case, a hard protective acrylic LCD sheet is on its 15 inches screen, an integrated webcam, and my consolation a spill resistant keyboard. I agree with what the Durabook Laptop Reviews from the gadget magazine I bought before getting this laptop. Specs are very good the Durabook S15ST2 has been featured with Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 processor, DDR2 memory is also included, RAM is 4 GB, HDD capacity is up to 160 GB. The unit has come integrated with modem as well. I chose Windows VISTA Business but XP Professional would do as well. My Durabook has a smart card socket which is needed for identity protection. Nice piece of equipment don’t you think? Now I am using my Durabook as my main laptop be it on the road or in the office.

Asus has introduced the smallest laptop in the world, Mac already shown us the thinnest laptop, what else are they planning to come up with new features of laptop? Maybe a touch screen laptop just like the iPhone? Does this mean that desktop will be out in the market soon? I don’t think so. For some, especially for heavy duty workers where they need their PC working 24 hours 7 days a week, they would still prefer to get the desktop. You might find it too bulky but remember a lot of company already released the LCD screen where it wouldn’t take too much space on your working table. CPU or what they also call the tower and the brain of the computer already released different stylish and some also come up with small designs.

Because of too many choices when it comes to laptop, we just have to decide what brand works best. We have the HP who is now also with Compaq, Toshiba - known for a really heavy duty job, Sony- if looking for more style and design and of course Mac for a totally different experience. Whatever the brand is, also take in to consider the specs, the price, and the size which really matters now.
